I Joined CIMMS/NSSL as a Research Scientist

Details

I am happy to announce that I joined the University of Oklahoma Cooperative Institute for Mesoscale Meteorological Studies (CIMMS) and the NOAA National Severe Storms Laboratory as a Research Scientist. I will work in the Forecast Research and Development Division (FRDD) and am tasked with investigating ways to improve the representation of atmospheric boundary layer phenomena in weather models used by the Warn-on-Forecast group.

Professionally, this is an exciting opportunity to get back into the weather community and do work that matters to people. Personally, we are excited to return home to our family and friends.

For a weather-obsessed kid who grew up in Oklahoma, joining the preeminent severe storms laboratory is pretty cool. I look forward to many great years ahead.
